Opening Bout:

Buddy Lane  v  Kerry Brown

This match was set up last week when after losing a tag match together, Brown attacked his partner Lane and gave him a beatdown. Tonight's match began with Lane uncharacteristically attacking Brown before the bell. The match spilled outside but a brawl favored the rough and tumble Brown who took over the match. It wasn't until after surviving some near falls that Lane reverted to who brought him to the dance, out wrestling his opponent. A series of flying armdrags, dropkicks and a swinging neckbreaker had victory all but assured for Lane. However, Brown popped the referee to cause the DQ intentionally.

Buddy Lane defeated Kerry Brown by disqualification after hitting the referee at 8:51

Post-match: Brown attacked the knee of Lane wrapping it around the ringpost and slamming it several times. He continued his assault until RCW officials were able to make it to the ring and break it up.

Bout #2:

Ladie's Action
Tanya Tataryn  v  Judy Martin

The veteran Martin came to the ring with a chip on her shoulder. She didn't even take off her warm up jacket, going straight to work on Tataryn with some stiff uppercuts. A hard biel from the corner, followed by a legdrop set up a powerbomb finish.

Judy Martin defeated Tanya Tataryn by pinfall after a powerbomb at 1:43

Bout #3:

RCW Television Title Match

The Bounty Hunter (champion)  v  Ray Stevens

This was a re-match from a couple weeks back when these two battled to a double countout. Stevens had the better of the 275 pound Texan through much of the match but was having trouble putting him away. When he climbed to the top rope for the bombs away his title chances evaporated when Pat Patterson ran down to the ring and threw him off the top turnbuckle, causing our second intentional DQ of the night.

Ray Stevens defeated Bounty Hunter by disqualification due to outside interference by Pat Patterson at 7:05.

Post-Match:
The two on one beatdown was on, but lasted only moments before RCW champion the Destroyer came down to the ring to even the odds. He and Stevens sent Bounty Hunter and Patterson running for the hills.

Main Event

#1 Contenders Match, winner to get an RCW Title shot

Mike Valiant  v  Chris Lyon

Before the match can begin, "No One Like You" by the Scorpions play and the fans boo as Tawney and Corrie England make their way down to the ring. The fans chant "boot, boot, boot" at Tawney and "Scag, scag, scag" at Corrie. They are dressed in skin tight jeans and concert shirts. Entering the ring they go to the side of Chris Lyon.
Lyon has a mic. He tells the crowd that he promised them a surprise that would tip the scales of power here in RCW and bring the title back to his waist from the Destroyer. Well he has acquired the services of the England sisters to be his managers. With them at his side he says he will be unstoppable.
However, he tells Valiant that there is still time for him to join "the young lions" and take his place in RCW history. All he has to do is walk away, and give the title shot to Lyon. In return he will get the services of one of the England sisters, Corrie.
Valiant takes a few seconds to think about it well the crowd chants "boot", before telling Lyon that he is an egotistical maniac, and the only way he will see the RCW heavyweight title again is if he or the Destroyer shoves it down his throat.
Corrie slips behind Valiant and Tawney pushes him over in a schoolyard move. Lyon attakcs Valiant and the match is on.

These two have met many times and the action is always brutal and non-stop, in and out of the ring. Referee George Gadasky bans the England sisters from ringside sending them to the back. However, while he is distracted doing that Lyon rams Valiant head first into the ringpost and then jumps off the ring apron, smashing him in the lower back with the ring bell. Back in the ring Lyon continues to press the advantage. He gets his Boston crab finisher on but is too close to the ropes so Valiant manages to make the break. Valiant has a couple short bursts of offense, even getting his figure-four finisher on at one point, but was so weakened that Lyon managed to turn him over and reverse the pressure. Lyon continued to work over the lower back of Valiant and also would return time and time again to raking and gouging the eyes of his former friend. By the end of the match Valiant lived up to his surname continuing to fight Lyon despite not being able to even get to his feet because of the pain in his lower back. Lyon punished Valiant further by dropping a knee to the lower back from the top rope, and then slapped on the Boston crab in the middle of the ring. Valiant had no choice but to tap out after about 20 seconds in the hold.

Chris Lyon defeated Mike Valiant by submission with the Boston crab at 14:10.
[Chris Lyon is the #1 contender for the RCW Heavyweight Title]

Post-Match:
The England sisters returned to the ring but instead of celebrating with Lyon, while he distracted the ref they went to work on Valiant over top of him like a pack of jackyls. They raked their long nails across his back and choked him.
The Destroyer hit the ring and sent the three scurrying, but as the camera panned to Valiant he could be seen bleeding from many nail rakes across the back and was foaming at the mouth after being choked out.
The Destroyer was calling for medical help as we faded to black.

See ya next week.
