-some timely cheating by Robinson helped him an dhis student Bassarab win this bout over the youngsters.

 

-McDaniel made his return to a RCW ring as the partner of Hennig. The two veteran power wrestlers worked extremely well together.

 

After the match the victors Larry Hennig & Wahoo McDaniel were interviewed. McDaniel says he got the call from his friend Hennig to come to RCW, and together they have two goals. First to rid the RCW of cheats like the two teams facing off for the tag belts tonight, Bobby Duncum & Chris Lyon, and Masked Superstar & Super Destroyer, and the second goal is to become the RCW tag champions.

This assertion brings out Billy Robinson to the ring with Ben Bassarab. Robinson tells them to get in line, in case they didn't see how they dominated their match tonight. Unpleasantries are exchanged adn things get tense but its decided to settle them in the ring next week. The winner of that bout will be in position to demand a title shot.

 

 

Tod Hestrerey v King Tonga

Hestrerey started strong but it was like running into a brick wall and couldn't budge the monster. He walked right into the Tongan death grip and only survived by hooking a foot over the bottom rope. Teh match spilled outside the Tongan punished Hestrerey some more. Back inside he tried to finish him off but Hestrerey countered the Tongan death grip attempt by going for a crucifix but the monster countered with a Samoan drop and picked up the first fall.

Before the second fall could get under way we had the customary 30 second time-out; or at least that was the way it was supposed to happen. But despite Miss Hartel's instructions and yelling from her corner handcuffs, Tonga did not relent and kept on punishing his opponent. After about a minute of this and some 5 counts referee Buddy Lane had no choice but to call for the bell and award a fall to Hestrerey by disqualification.

When the announcement was made Tonga went crazy and just about threw Lane. The ref managed to calm him down and instructed him to go talk to his manager in the corner. While this was happening Hestrerey rolled out of the ring to finally get away, landed with a thud outside and lay there.

After the 30 second timeout the bell rang and Lane had no choice but to begin to count out Hestrerey. Tonga though would not wait, and could have had the easy win but he tried to get to his opponent causing Lane to hold him back and break the count. Hartel was screaming at him to take the count and the match but he paid her no heed. He broke the count again. Still Hestrerey lay there not moving. A third time it happened but this time Tonga slipped through the ropes and risked DQ to go after Hestrerey. He picked him up by his long, stringy hair and walked him over to the announce table...but Hestrerey was playing possum. He went down to one knee, turning into Tonga, and delivered a palm strike to the sternum. He then took the monster down with a drop toe hold smashing the Tongan's head into the annouce table. Hestrerey climbed onto the table and then launched himself off with a flying elbowdrop. He rolled Tonga back into the ring and nailed him with a fisherman suplex into a pin, and got 1, 2, Kickout.

Hestrerey pushed his advantage with suplexes, and leg holds trying to ground the Tongan but could not put him away. Tonga powered out of a Boston crab sending Tod head first into the ringpost. Tonga regrouped and got some advice from Hartel. Both men circled each other, tied one fall each, both trying to catch a second wind about 12 minutes into the bout.

Tonga took over with a knee driven to the gut, and then an uppercut forearm. Tonga then went through a series of chokes against the ropes again risking DQ before blatantly choping his opponent in the throat. As Lane interceded to warn Tonga, Hestrerey slid out of the ring. He grabbed Tonga by the ankles and pulled him over to the corner and crotched him into the ringpost. But he was in Hartel's corner and when Lane wasn't looking she hit him in the back of the head with a high heel shoe. This allowed the Tongan to grab the advantage and he worked it inside for a couple of minutes to soften up Tod for the final fall. He locked in the Tongan death grip but Tod countered by wrapping his legs around Tonga and pulling him head first into the corner. He rolled him up still in the Tongan death grip and when Lane applied the count, 1, 2, 3, Tonga didn't react.

RCW Champion Jim Brunzell comes to the ring. Within seconds he is confronted by Jerry Blackwell, who the fans boo. Blackwell tells them they can boo all they want but he isn't the kind to attack a champion from behind. That's why he is here with the TV title face to face to demand his title shot from the champion. He tells Bruunzell that it's his time, and there is no stronger challenger currently in RCW.

Brunzell can not deny this claim and accepts Blackwell's challenge for a match next week. Blackwell says may the best man win and offers a handshake to Brunzell. As soon as Brunzell looks to the crowd for approval (he gets none) Blackwell nails him with a clothesline. He then then delivers a splash to Brunzell and leaves him lying.

 

Tawney England (champion)  v  Corrie England

 

Corrie came out in her boxer robe again. When she pulled off her hood she surprised both the fans and her sister in that her head had been shaved completely bald. She proceeded to attack Tawney before the bell could ring. She used a lot of boxing stance and punches, including some unrelenting body shots. Tawney finally started a comeback but appeared winded, possibly having trouble getting a full breath of air due to the body shots to the ribs. She tired to hit the hairplane spin by holding onto the ears instead but she lost her grip. Soon after she went for a splash from the top rope but Corrie moved out of the way. The match spilled outside and the sisters stood on the announce table and exchanged shots until Tawney hit her sister with a standing dropkick, sending her head over heels backward off the table. However she landed awkwardly on her side against the side of the table, perhaps injuring her ribs further. The match resumed inside the ring where they crisscrossed until Tawney hit her sister with a flying fist to the head. She slingshot her sister into the corner and followed up with a German suplex for a 2 count. Corrie made another comeback and the two girls did some more criss cross and collided, with referee Wyatt Hall right in the middle. With the ref out both girls slowly made the way to their feet shaking off the cobwebs.

Suddenly out of the blue former champ Natasha hit the ring. The crowd cheered her, righ tup until she nailed Tawney with a dropkick from behind sending her straight into Corrie who was ready with a closed fist to the head. Hall woke up in time to see Corrie nail her sister with a reverse russian legsweep and pick up the win, and the belt.

In a post match interview Corrie England  was joined in the ring by Natasha. Corrie says her month long training paid off, she was tougher then ever before and nullified her sister's best move by shaving her head. When asked about her actions Natasha says that RCW wrote her off after she lost the title. Once Tawney was willing to pander to the stupid fans for management they didn't need her anymore. Well she says she got her revenge tonight and would be by Corrie's side from here on in, making all her challengers' life miserable.

 

- a total brawl with no regard for the rules that finally saw referee Kenny Jay throw the thing out as they bashed each other outside the ring with everything that was or wasn't nailed down.

 

Goerge Wells came from the back to help Jay restore order. Allen though smashed Schultz over the head with a steel chair and then told Wells to hold Schultz while he did it again. Wells though refused and stood in the way, blocking an increasingly angry Allen. Schultz recovered and nailed Wells from behind sending him crashing into the chair and Allen. Dr. D then picked up the chair and nailed both men, leaving them laying.

 

[Superstar & Destroyer retain the RCW Tag Ttiles]

-another hard hitting tag installment between these two rulebreaking teams. Referee George Gadasky did a good job keeping the law and order. In the end the champs were just too polished and powerful a tag duo for the former champs to overcome. They were the better cheaters.

-Barry O was getting soundly thrashed so he tried to vacate the premesis. However, when he was 2/3 the way up the aisle the one and only Crusher appeared from the back and forced Barry O to flee back into the ring. He was no match for the big veteran Hennig.

Then Da Crusher says that while he is the special guest referee for tonight's main event betwen Brunzell and Fatwell, he promises to call it right down the middle, fair and square. 'Cause Jimmy don't need no stinking cheats to beat dat bum Fatwell. And after he pins his carcass we're going to play a polka, puff on a big stinky cigar, and roll out the barrels...we've got Fatwell on the run.

 

 

-Wells did not fair well against the WWF's Muraco at all.

RCW Tag Team Title Match

[Superstar & Destroyer retain the RCW Tag Titles]

-This was a fantastic match pitting the crisp tag team work of the youthful and speedy Bulldogs against the power and experience of the veteran tag champs. It was a constant battle of the Bullodgs trying to force the pace and the champs doing everything they could to slow it down. In the end the titles were in real jeopardy when Masked Superstar pulled a piece of chain from under the ring and nailed Smith in the back of the head to get intentionally dq'd.

 

Jim Brunzell (champion) v  Jerry Blackwell

 

Everytime the champ got off a successful hold or move the challenger would slow the match down by complaining to Crusher about a fictional hairpull or tightspull, etc. Blackwell made a great show of leaving the match because the refeee was biased but ended up returning rather then letting Crusher count him out.

Balckwell changed gears and mounted a vicious attack on the challenger. Within minutes he had Brunzell grasping his ribs and trying to gasp for air. These were the same ribs Brunzell injured months ago. Blackwell then turned to pulverizing the forehead of the champ, drawing blood and sending Brunzell for a trip down woozy street. Outside the ring though Brunzell fought back hard. The Crusher looked the othre way (literally) when Brunzell took the little hammer from the annouce table and cracked Blackwell's head open. Back inside Brunzell tried to finish Blackwell off but when he went for a standing drop kick the behemoth went for the same thing, and their feet and legs collided. Both men went down hard but Blackwell had more mass and so absorbed the blow easier.He then deliverd a splash onto the injured knee o fthe champ, smashed it off the ring apron several times, and then off the ring post. He whipped the champ to the ropes and then caught him with his shoulder into the knee area. Brunzell could barely stand and the Crusher impored him to quit. When Blackwell tried to get at Brunzell before Crusher was done talking to him, Crusher ended up in a pushing match with Blackwell. The big man lost his temper and attempted to clothesline the guest referee but he ducked out of the way; unfortunatley Brunzell had recoverd and was hobbling over to the action. When Crusher ducked he didn't know that Brunzell was behind him and absorbed the entire blow. Crusher looked distraught at his actions but when Blackwell nailed a splash on the champion seconds later he counted the 1, 2, 3.

Post-Match:

As Blackwell celebrated with his new belt, Crusher got on the microphone and apologized to Jimmy for his blunder. However, he held to his word and called it right down the middle. But now, the match is over. And with that he put a hand on Blackwell's shoulder, twirled him around, BOLO PUNCH...Blackwell is shaky but stays on his feet, backs against the ropes, comes off...BOLO PUNCH....again he manages to retain his feet despite being nearly knocked out. Crusher winds up for a third punch when Blackwell bounces lightly off the ropes, but Brunzell is there instead and nails Blackwell with a flying dropkick sending him through the ropes to the floor below.
