Tanya Tataryn v Valkrye (/w Anton Rojack)
Another squash match for Valkrye who is bigger and meaner then
the green local rookies she has been wrestling as of late.
Valkrye defeated Tataryn by
pinfall after a sitdown powerbomb at 1:45
Post-match:
Valkrye challenged anyone to a match. She listed off the
name of the RCW ladies but no one came out. She then started to name the men but none came out. Finally, referee Wyatt Hall
came out to try and clear the ring for the next match. Valkrye put up a fuss but finally left the ring, however her and Rojack
stayed at the guardrail. Local talent Joe Apollo came to the ring for his next match like a lamb to the slaughter.
As he was taking off his warm up jacket the muscular Valkrye entered the ring and challenged Apollo who simply stood dumbfounded;
like a deer in the headlights. Hall got mad with Valkrye and ordered her out of the ring. He did the usual counting to 10
(why we’ll never know). Instead of leaving though Valkrye clobbered Wyatt Hall!! Joe Apollo instinctively went to Hall’s
rescue but wouldn’t lay a hand on the lady. But she was not similarly restrained. Valkrye nailed Apollo with a big right
hand, followed by a knee to the gut, and a double arm suplex. She then sneered at the crowd as she nailed Apollo with the
sitdown powerbomb. She had Rojack come over and make a mock 3 count on Apollo.
Bout #2:
Chris Pepper
v Dynamite Kid
Pepper was rounded up as a last minute replacement for Apollo. As Dynamite Kid waited for an opponent
he talked trash about Jim Brunzell and Brad Rheinghans, both of who he has hurt and beat with his brainbuster. When Pepper
showed up he looked very hesitant to lock up with DK, and tried to avoid him like the plague. That’s the only reason
this match went on as long as it did. DK hit his usual German suplex, snap suplex, and diving headbutt. He then hoisted Pepper
up and nailed him with the brainbuster. The referee Kenny Jay made the count, 1, 2, DK picked his man up! DK nailed another
German suplex and then lifted a limp Pepper up in the air for another brainbuster. But referee Jay had seen enough and pulled
the legs of Pepper back down. DK was furious and looked like he would attack Jay who stood his ground. Suddenly Brad Rheinghans
hit the ring in street clothes and went right after the DK. They fought tooth and nail, spilled outside the ring, and finally
DK headed for the hills. However he felt about DK, Kenny Jay had no choice but to DQ Chris Pepper.
Dynamite
Kid defeated Chris Pepper by disqualification for outside interference at 4:01
Bout #3:
Kelly Hobin
& Stan Rodgers v Rob Flett & Neil Sutherland
Decent enough tag teams but pretty much just filler as neither
team is involved in any major feuds right now. Hobin and Rodgers are just bigger and more experienced.

Rodgers defeated Flett & Sutherland by pinfall when Rodgers pinned Flett after his Lariat at 7:43

In-ring Promo;
Matchmaker Marty Goldstein comes to the ring and he doesn’t look happy. He says that things
have really got out of hand tonight, and that the abuse of officials and the threatening of officials will not be tolerated.
He fines Valkrye $1000 for abuse of official tonight. However, he does concede that there seems to be a lack of women able
to compete at her level. That’s why he just got off the phone booking a flight for Canadian Women’s champion Judy
Martin to land in Winnipeg and take on Valkrye for the title on the March 17th St. Patrick’s Day & Hall of Fame
show. Goldstein says that Martin is not some green rookie and that she’ll tie Valkrye into knots until her eyes bug
out of her head.
Next Goldstein turns his attention to Dynamite Kid. He says the Brit has gone too far, and that this is
a sport, which means it is expected to be sporting. There is nothing sporting about the brainbuster move he has been using.
Henceforth, it is banned from competition in RCW. Anyone using the move will be disqualified, fined, and possibly suspended.
He also tells Kid that he and Rheinghans will meet one on one at the March 17th show. Goldstein says that Jim Brunzell’s
injuries sustained from the brainbuster are not serious and that he should be back in action in a matter of weeks.

Just
another installment in RCW’s greatest feud. Assuredly an entertaining match, a little more filled with brawling tonight
then in the past, but nothing too original. After some hot action the match spills to outside the ring and neither man pays
any attention to the count.
Chris Lyon and the Destroyer battle to a double countout at 6:13

Post-Match:
RCW officials come out to break up the action. Lyon grabs
a mic and enters the ring while Destroyer looks on from the floor. He vents about Destroyer being the one elected to the hall
of fame while he (Lyon) is the current and 3 time champion. He says he is sick of sharing the spotlight with a has-been. He
is so confident in his ability to beat Destroyer that he will defend the title against him on March 17th. But not only will
the title be on the line, but it will also be a loser leaves RCW match! He says that the Hall of Fame induction will then
double as Destroyer’s retirement show. Destroyer does not hesitate to agree to the match. One of the two greatest legends
of RCW will be gone after St. Patrick’s day.

Keith Hart v Kendo Nagasaki (/w Mr. Ho)
Hart starts strong, but Nagasaki and
Ho cheat too much for him to have a fair shot at winning this match. Nagasaki uses his green mist to blind Hart and then nails
him with a standing side kick for the win.

Post-Match:
Nagasaki and Ho got greedy at the end with Nagasaki holding Hart
to allow Ho to get in some free chops. Suddenly from the back ran in a newcomer to RCW and he went toe to toe with Nagasaki.
Despite being smaller he got the better of Nagasaki, bodyslammed him and then dropped an elbow from the 2nd turnbuckle. Mr.
Ho pulled his man from the ring before any more damage could be doled out. The newcomer helped Keith Hart to his feet. Hart
got a mic and introduced the crowd to his brother, here from Stampede wrestling, Bret Hart. Keith asked Bret if he could stick
around for a week as he sure could use a partner and together they would take on Nagasaki and his manager Mr. Ho. His brother
was only too able to oblige of course.
Bout #3
Tex Cobb & Vic Gate v Cuban Assassin & Bad
News Allen
This is the fall out from two weeks ago when Assassin and Allen did a number on Cobb, and Gate came to his
resuce. Gate acquits himself well in this match against Assassin, able to use his superior scientific skill to control the
bigger man. However, Allen is too much of a brawler and beats up on Gate until Cobb gets tagged in. Cobb and Allen turn the
match into a complete 4 man brawl that the ref is on the verge of tossing. However, order is restored and while Cobb is being
shunted out of the ring Assassin holds Gate’s arms so Allen can come off the top rope with a Judo chop to the cranium.
And that’s all she wrote.

adult nightmare. A young couple have a murder to report and they go to the nearest town (Gatlin) to seek help but the town
seems deserted. They are soon trapped in Gatlin with little chance of getting out alive.

Bobby Duncum & Angleo Mosca (/w Corrie
England)
One on one Lafleur and Bassarab handled either opponent quite well, using youth and speed to overcome size
and experience. However, Duncum and Mosca (and England) took every opportunity they could to double team the champs. The end
came thanks to a Corrie England distraction of the ref which allowed Mosca to come around and pull Bassarab off the apron
and send him head first into the guardrail. He then entered the ring and clobbered Lafleur from behind. He and Duncum set
up Lafleur and took him down with a double slam. Duncum nailed his finisher just to make sure.
A very short title run for
the youths comes to an end.

Post-Match:
“No
One Like You” by the Scorpions plays and Chris Lyon and Tawney England join their Triumvirate team mates in the
ring with a couple bottles of champagne which they pop open and pass around.
Marty Goldstein comes out and
addresses them and the audience, ruining the celebration. He tells Duncum and Mosca that since they both seem to like to be
in the ring so much that at the St. Patrick’s Day & Hall of Fame show, they can both be in the ring at the same
time during the rematch they will be forced to give Bassarab & Lafleur. Because Goldstein says that match will be a Texas
Tornado tag match where all four men are legal!
He gives a quick recap for the fans of the 5 huge
matches signed for next week when most of the syndicated TV partners will carry a special 90 minute edition of River City
Wrestling.

Strong & Mike Stone welcome us to a special 90 minute edition of River City Wrestling. This combination Hall of Fame
Inauguration Night and St. Patrick’s Day bash is chalk full of great match-ups.
Opening Bout:

Women’s Championship Match
Judy Martin (champion) v Valkrye (/w Anton Rojack)
Distance makes the heart
grow fond, or something like that. Suddenly the previously vilified Martin is cheered compared to the muscular Valkrye. However
it’s the youngster Valkrye who controls the early minutes with a power offense not usually seen in the women’s
game. Martin though made the comeback, thanks to some dirty tactics followed by a ground and pound game. Outside the ring
Rojack decided he had seen enough and nailed Martin in the back with a steel chair.
Judy Martin defeated Valkrye
by disqualification due to outside interference at 7:33

Grudge Match – Brainbuster has been outlawed
Brad Rheinghans v Dynamite Kid
Uncharacteristically
Rheinghans tried to attack DKid before the bell but the cagey veteran saw it coming and nailed Rheinghans with a boot to the
groin. The referee protested but when DKid pointed out it was before the bell he could do nothing but wait for Rheinghans
to recover and then call for the bell to start things off.
That early attack seemed to take the wind out of Rheinghans
sails but it made for a better match as both men fought hard, dirty, but also scientific. Rheinghans wore down the Kid with
a front chancery and then a full nelson, trying to keep his offense grounded. It didn’t last long though and Kid was
airborne, and taking the match outside the ring. Rheinghans was busted open and DKid managed to sneak in a vicious kick to
the groin which went undetected by referee Wyatt Hall. Back inside the ring DKid nailed his top rope diving headbutt but only
got a 2 count. He followed up with a German suplex but only got a 1 count. He hit a snap suplex but Rheinghans kicked out
before Hall even got down to count. Rheinghans powered to his feet, tried to kick DK, but the Brit caught the foot and then
floored him with a clothesline. DK picked up Rheinghans for a suplex, but Rheinghans blocked it. He tried again, and again
it was blocked. Rheinghans then picked up DKid who swung his legs around to escape and ended up clipping Wyatt Hall in the
head, knocking him down. Rheinghans was distracted by the ref bump, and this allowed DKid to attack him from behind. The Brit
then took Rheinghans up and nailed him with the illegal brainbuster, or as Ron Strong put it, a thuggish headdrop which
has no place in our sport. DKid revived Hall who made the count.

Brad Rheinghans by pinfall with the brainbuster during a ref bump at 8:45
Post-Match:
Marty Goldstein came out
and told Hall what happened. He ordered Hall to reverse the decision because of the illegal move. But Hall stood firm by the
referee’s decision is final rule here in RCW, and Goldstein just stood there and fumed.
Hall of Fame
Presentation:
Marty Goldstein, Matt Brock, Jack McAdam, Stan Mullen, Bulldog Bob Brown, and George Gadasky are
in the ring (collectively they are the Hall of Fame Committee).
They and the ring are under security supervision as no
interruption from the Triumvirate is wanted tonight.
A brief run down of Destroyer’s career is given including being
the first RCW champion, having to forfeit that belt due to injury, and eventually becoming the first 3 time RCW Heavyweight
champion. Randall “Tex” Cobb and Vic Gate are also called to the ring as they are just two examples of
the wrestlers trained by Destroyer to compete here in RCW. Both men call Destroyer a mentor and friend.
Finally the lights
are dimmed and the Destroyer makes his way to the ring accompanied by security. He is wearing a black and white tuxedo, which
matches his mask nicely. Handshakes are given all around, and then a plaque is presented to Destroyer commemorating the event.
Destroyer gives a very brief thank-you speech which is truncated due to the pressure of tonight’s main event. Either
the Destroyer will become the first 4x RCW champion or he will be gone from RCW forever. The crowd is quieter then such an
occasion for celebration usually warrants. Destroyer lifts the plaque and says the real celebration will happen in the middle
of the ring tonight!
Bout #3
Pre-Match: Mr. Ho comes out with an arm in a sling and a doctor’s
note saying he can’t wrestle tonight. He asks that RCW officials allow his other man Butch Reed to sub for him and tag
with Kendo Nagasaki against the Hart Brothers. Of course RCW officials will have none of it, but do allow one concession;
they allow Butch Reed to stay at ringside as a manager during the match.
Keith & Bret Hart v Kendo Nagasaki
& Mr. Ho (/w Butch Reed)
Nagasaki controls the match early, but eventually wears down as Ho never wants to
put himself in danger. Finally when Ho has no choice he is controlled by the Hart brothers and a pinfall is imminent. Ho orders
Reed into the ring, but Keith rolls him up from behind and gets the 1, 2, 3, as Reed is too slow to enter the ring.
Hart
Brothers defeated Nagasaki & Ho by pinfall when Keith Hart pinned Ho with a victory roll at 10:04
[approximately
6 minutes televised]
Post-Match:
Kendo had been tied up by Bret but nailed him with a chop to the throat
and then tossed him out of the ring. He followed this up by nailing Keith from behind and also tossing him out of the ring.
The Hart Brothers left the ring area banged up but victorious. Back inside though Ho was berating Reed and mimicking him trying
to get through the ropes, acting as if he was too fat to be agile. Finally Reed snapped, grabbing Ho by the throat. Nagasaki
tried to attack Reed from behind but Hacksaw was too fast, moving out of the way. Nagasaki nailed Ho with a kick. Reed then
clotheslined both of them at once, and then took turns nailing each with a flying shoulderblock. The fans cheered Reed as
he left the ring.

monsters, bar fights and time warps.

All four men are legal, but there is only
one referee; head official George “ScrapIron” Gadasky. One fall to a finish, but it can be a countout, DQ (hard
to imagine), or pinfall or submission. Due to the nature of the match all managers have been banned from ringside.
Mosca
used his football background to tackle Bassarab to the ground. Duncum went right to work on Lafleur, but the Frenchman surprised
him with some fiery forearms. A whip to the ropes and a dropkick to the kisser sent Duncum rolling out of the ring. Mosca
decided to also retreat and leave the ring. The youngsters in their zeal made a poor decision to follow the bigger veterans
to the floor. After some initial offense, the champions turned the match around and slammed their opponents into the ground.
They rolled back into the ring to break the count and then left again to deal out more punishment. Back inside they took turns
double teaming one man then the other. But when they went for a double stuff piledriver on Lafleur, Bassarab kicked out the
legs from Duncum and sent him crashing to the ground, and Mosca tumbled off the top rope to the mat below. Bassarab climbed
to the top turnbuckle and landed a perfect star splash on Mosca, but Duncum broke up the pin attempt. Bassarab kicked away
at the midsection of Duncum, took him down with a snap suplex, and then nailed him with a flying cross body block. Mosca managed
to break up the pin just in the nick of time. But Lafleur was back in action now, and it was the challengers turn to alternate
punishment between their two opponents. This lasted for several minutes without being able to put away the champions. With
Duncum down on the mat, Lafleur took Bassarab on his shoulders and allowed him to flip in the air, but Duncum put up his knees
and caught Bassarab in the gut. Mosca got the timing right and took out Lafleur from behind right after. Together they whipped
Lafleur into the ropes and took him down with a double clothesline. They then picked up Bassarab, and Mosca climbed the top
turnbuckle and they gave him a stuffed piledriver. Gadasky counted 1, 2, Lafleur broke up the tag.
Duncum and Mosca went
back to work on Lafleur with a few punches while Bassarab still lay prone. They then backed him into the ropes and tied his
arms up in the ropes. After another pair of kicks to the gut they returned their attention to Bassarab. They nailed him with
a double clothesline and went for the pin, 1, 2, kickout! Mosca left the ring, and Gadasky went to get Lafleur untangled.
Mosca and Duncum gave Bassarab another stuffed piledriver. By now Gadasky freed Lafleur but again it was two on one and the
champions subdued Lafleur quickly. While Duncum held Lafleur in a front facelock Mosca put the pin on Bassarab.

Only One legend will be left standing.
They
locked up, Destroyer floated behind. They locked fingers, Destroyer backed up, and kicked Lyon to a sitting position. He then
applied a quick double trapezius nerve hold. Lyon threw his arms up in anguish but soon realized he could move out of the
hold and did so with a roll. Lyon went to the ropes for time and got a quick few seconds rub down by England before referee
Kenny Jay made him return to action.
They locked up again and exchanged forearms. Destroyer blocked a punch, ducked in
and took Lyon over with a beautiful German suplex. Lyon was on his back and the master pounced with a step-over toe hold.
The masked man reached over and used his arms to add to the move putting Lyon in a Full Nelson. After over 30 seconds in the
hold Tawney England finally could stand it no longer and tried to pull her man free. Destroyer was forced to break the hold,
the ref warned England, and the champ escaped to the outside for a breather.
After some frustrating duck and hide tactics
Lyon got his advantage with a thumb to the throat. He went to work with a gutwrench suplex amongst other moves. We were five
minutes into the match and the champ hadn’t done any real damage to the challenger.
Destroyer takes back the advantage
and works over an arm with armbreakers, and then a hammerlock. He rides that hold down to the mat and wears down the champ.
Destroyer never lets go of the hold, slamming Lyon with an over the shoulder armdrag, and then dropping a series of knees
to different muscle groupings on the arm. Abruptly the challenger changes tactics and stuns the champ with a forearm smash
to the chin. He tries for the surprise pin but only gets a 2 count.
Tawney England is back on the ring apron to distract
and it works. However, Kenny Jay is furious and doesn't object when Vic Gate comes out and scares England to the backstage
area, before taking up a position at the announce table. This draws an ovation from the crowd but also provides Lyon the opportunity
to pearl harbor the challenger from behind. He works over the Destroyer’s lower back with forearms, knee drops, and
surfboard holds. He tries for the Boston crab but the masked man grabs the ropes for the break. Instead of breaking though
Lyon pulls Destroyer up and chops him across the chest several times in the corner. Jay gets in the way, and this stops Lyon
long enough for Destroyer to explode out of the corner with a clothesline. Destroyer has the advantage back and we are about
13 minutes into the match.
Destroyer is on fire now. After playing to the crowd he scoops up Lyon and gives him an airplane
spin, both men eventually slamming into the ground. Destroyer goes for the pin but only gets a 2 count. It’s a clinic
now with a half-nelson slam, armdrag takedown, Mexican hiptoss, and when Lyon staggers to his feet, back down with flying
headscissors. Destroyer uses a Japanese Dog roll and gets 1, 2, KICKOUT, somehow the beleaguered champ lifts a shoulder off
the mat. Destroyer punches the mat in frustration and Kenny Jay has to warn him to open his fists. The challenger pulls the
champ to his feet and nails a swinging neckbreaker for another 2 count. The fans smell victory which is never a good sign.
Destroyer puts on the sleeperhold but the champ manages to back him into the corner after about 20 seconds. Destroyer sends
Lyon to the ropes and goes for the flying dropkick, but the champ holds onto the ropes for dear life and Destroyer hits nothing
but air.
The champ goes to work with a kick to the gut and then makes Destroyer scream in pain when he gives a modified
Texas brainbuster, except he drives his knuckle into the top of the Destroyer’s spine instead of his covered head. Lyon
uses a cobra clutch and after about 20 seconds converts it to a slam. He continues the punishment with one of his favorite
moves the slingshot suplex but only gets a 2 count. Lyon then nails a backbreaker but instead of letting the masked man go,
he holds him over the knee for a submission hold which does not get the desired result despite about 20 seconds of pain.
Lyon
climbs to the top rope, something he doesn’t do often, and that’s a mistake because when he comes down for an
elbow Destroyer has moved out of the way. Both men struggle slowly to their feet to beat a slow count by Jay, and the fans
can sense the finish is about to happen and rise to their feet. Vic Gate comes over for a closer look (that can't be good).
Lyon
swings at Destroyer who ducks, scoops up Lyon and atomic drops him sending him to the buckle. But Lyon rebounds out of the
corner and ~nails~ Destroyer with a punch right to the heart. Destroyer just kind of stands there looking down at the mat,
trying to catch his breath. Lyon pounces out of the corner again, this time taking Destroyer down with a Thesz press. He goes
for the pin but Destroyer kicks out at 2. Lyon tries to get cute and goes for the flying crucifix (Destroyer’s signature
move), but the cagey veteran holds his ground firm and then drops backward onto Lyon. He reaches backward and grabs a leg,
and gets 1, 2, Kickout by the champ.
Both men scramble to their feet and this time it’s the Destroyer who goes for
the flying crucifix but again its countered as Lyon drops backward with the Samoan type drop. Vic Gate had snuck over to the
apron and lays a steel chair on the mat. Destroyer’s head bounces off the chair in a nasty fashion, and the whites of
his eyes no longer appear from behind the eyeholes of the familiar black and white mask. Kenny Jay was moving out of the way
of the swinging feet and missed it completely! Lyon isn’t moving either, but he’s on top, and Jay counts the 1,
2, 3 !!!
The fans are in shock and dismay, as their beloved legend has been defeated and is gone from RCW forever, turned
on by his protege Vic Gate.
Chris Lyon defeated The Destroyer by pinfall after a Samoan drop onto a steel chair

We
are shown the controversial finish to last week’s big Hall of Fame Induction and St. Patrick’s Day Bash card.
Chris Lyon got some help from the turncoat Vic Gate to defeat The Destroyer in another great 20 minute match between them.
However, that will be the last one in RCW as due to the stipulations Destroyer is out of RCW for good.
We are shown
footage of the Triumvirate celebrating in the aisle, and Vic Gate gets a pat on the back from them as he walks by.
Inside
the ring Destroyer is distraught, but after the villains leave the fans begin to cheer again for the Hall of Famer. He accepts
the adulation graciously and returns it the same. Taking the mic he thanks the fans and the officials and promises to look
in on them when he can. Perhaps our paths will meet again.
Announcers Ron Strong & Mike Stone welcome us to
another edition of River City Wrestling.
In-ring Interview;
“No One Like You” plays and
the fans boo as the Triumvirate (Lyon, Mosca, Duncum, along with the England Sisters) enter the ring. They make several attempts
at humor such as we won’t see the Destroyer’s face around here again…oh wait…he was left with egg
all over…oh nevermind. The girls begin to sing We Are the Champions as the men pose with the Heavyweight and Tag Team
Titles.
Ron Strong attempts to break up the love fest and asks why Vic Gate helped them out. Chris Lyon tells him he
honestly doesn’t know, ask him yourself. With that Vic Gate begins to walk down the aisle with a straight face. The
fans jeer Gate with a ferociousness that is usually held in Winnipeg only for Gretzky and the Oilers.
Gate enters the
ring and just stands there. Strong goes over and asks the technician why he turned his back on his best friend and his mentor,
costing him his livelihood. Gate pauses and seems to reflect before saying “because I felt like it. And it’s about
time that I started doing what Vic Gate feels like doing, not what Destroyer feels Vic Gate should do.” He rambles on
for a minute about how Destroyer has kept him down and was jealous. It’s still unclear what if any relationship he has
with the Triumvirate.
The fans cheer and Gate stops speaking when Randall “Tex” Cobb comes walking purposely
to the ring. He is steamed and points right at Gate. He tells the Triumvirate to back off, its not their fight, but the Villains
stay menacingly in the ring. Cobb hesitates but is about to climb into the ring, 1 on 4, when Marty Goldstein comes running
down to the ring and pulls him back.
Goldstein makes an announcement. Due to The Destroyer’s exit from RCW that
leaves the Television championship belt vacant. An 8 man tournament will be held starting tonight to determine a new champion.
Cobb says he doesn't care about any stinking TV belt and tries to enter the ring again. Goldstein stops him though when he
says that one of the quarter final matches will be Tex Cobb versus Vic Gate.
Gate is mad but it puts a smile on the face
of big Tex.

Bout #1:
Bad News Allen defeated Phil Lafleur
by submission with the camel clutch at 5:43
Bout #2:
Ben Bassarab defeated Anton Rojack by pinfall after
a flying cross body block at 2:02
-Rojack’s manager Valkrye was so furious with him that she left for the back without
him after the match. He left the ring with his head held low.
Bout #3:
Butch Reed defeated Kendo Nagasaki
by disqualification for outside interference at 8:45
-Former partners’ first attempt to settle the bad blood after
the break-up. Reed controlled most of the match and was only prevented from getting a clean win because Nagasaki’s manager
Mr. Ho did a run-in to mess things up.
In-ring promo; Dynamite Kid comes to the ring with paper in his
hand. He is steaming and says that he has been suspended for a month from RCW for the use of the banned brainbuster on March
17th. DKid pleads his case to the crowd saying its not justice that the referee’s decision was allowed to stand in his
favor yet he is still suspended. Then Dynamite Kid bemoans over the final surprise in the paper ruling he is reading. It says
that upon his return to television on April 28th he will face a surprise opponent. The fans don’t show the Brit much
sympathy.
Main Event: Bout #4:
Vic Gate defeats Tex Cobb by pinfall after a German suplex and with a
handful of tights at 6:21
-Cobb had to satisfy himself with a bit of a post-match beatdown of Gate before the turncoat
was able to safely escape.

-The Triumvirate had been cutting one of their usual ego driven interviews when they were
told by Ron Strong that a returning star was challenging Chris Lyon to a title match. Duncum said the newcomer would have
to get past him first, so the match was set. Turns out it is the 275 lb, Bounty Hunter from El Paso, former Television champion.
Last time we saw him he was casting his lot with the villains, so the fans were pleasantly surprised to cheer for him tonight.
Duncum was so unnerved that he ended up getting himself counted out early, setting up Bounty Hunter to get a title shot. After
the match BH was interviewed about his change of heart. He replied that he had not had any change of heart, he was doing it
as always for the money. When Ron Strong asked point blank if there was a bounty on Lyon’s head, BH smiled and said
“you bet. And I’m going to collect.”
