Saturday Morning Squash #2

Air Date: February 8th, 2003

Announce crew: Joe Aiello (play-by-play), Linley Tolbert (color commentary), and Chrome (guest 3rd wheel)

Dave Mysterio beat Inbred Jed after a hurancanrana at 5:32

Via e-mail Chrome is asked:

What made you decide to return to North America from the orient?

Chromes response is simple, he missed being home. At first its fun to live in the orient, like being a part-time wrestler and part-time tourist. But after a while, you want to settle down to a regular routine, and a regular life. You start thinking it would be nice to start a family and lay down roots. But you're not home, you're a stranger in a strange land. The money was right, but sometimes its not all about the money.

Will Damon beat Chris Parys after the Players Drop (DDT) at 6:39

Dark note: *Parys is injured after the match and has to be taken away on a stretcher. It is believed that he may have a torn ACL *

Via e-mail Chrome is asked:

Who do you think is the best pure wrestler in GPW?

Chrome starts off by saying that he may just be the worst. As for the best, its hard to say. Cael Sanderson or Rulon Gardner would be the best in the purest sense of wrestling, but they haven't proven it on a professional level, where its a different game. Boss Strickland is pretty damn good, but for his money Chrome says he would take Gabriel Argos, Union Jack, or Vic Gate. After a few more seconds of thought he finally says definitively that its got to be Vic Gate. The man knows how to hook you, and stretch you.

Chrome beat Stoen Cold Chalupa after the Chrome Driver at 2:40

Chrome is asked by an audience member:

Why are you afraid of Manny Silva?

The question comes out of the blue and ruins a cordial affair. Chrome goes ballistic and security has to restrain him from jumping the rail to get at the fan who has on a "You Feel My Pain" Manny Silva t-shirt. He's joined by his buddy who is wearing a "When All About you Others are Losing their Head" Manny Silva shirt. The two taunt Chrome as he is restrained. Suddenly, Silva appears from the crowd and floats a brass knux assisted punch over the security and knocks an unsuspecting Chrome out cold.

Shane Stevens over Asp Evergreen by countout at 5:45 after Evergreen wrecked himself with a missed head tope.

Post-Match:

Eddie Chavez appears in street clothes and uses a belt wrapped around his fist to start nailing Stevens with punches. Evergreen is still laid out on the floor. Finally, shooter John Schoffner comes out of the dressing room and makes the save.
